About the Role
This is a senior individual contributor role offering significant strategic influence. You will work closely with the Senior Manager to shape the evolution and operation of the Deal Desk. You will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives, drive process improvements across the Sales organization, and potentially move into people management as the team matures. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the operational leader for the Deal Desk team, acting as the Senior Manager's primary point of contact for escalations, setting quality standards, and mentoring Associates and Specialists.
- Represent the Senior Manager in cross-functional forums with Sales leadership, aligning on Deal Desk priorities and communicating team needs and blockers.
- Act as a senior point of contact and escalation for complex deals, non-standard pricing requests, and contract exceptions.
- Oversee deal approval processes and pricing compliance, managing escalations and exceptions requiring senior judgment.
- Ensure the team meets Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards, stepping in to resolve complex or time-sensitive cases.
- Proactively identify deal friction, recurring blockers, and emerging risks within the Sales team.
- Manage the working relationship with Legal and Finance on behalf of the Senior Manager, aligning on policy and ensuring the team has guidance for non-standard situations.
- Develop and maintain deal playbooks and sales enablement resources.
- Build and scale automated workflows to reduce manual effort and enhance team focus on high-value tasks.
- Track Deal Desk performance metrics and deal trends, translating data into actionable recommendations for the Senior Manager.
- Drive the Deal Desk improvement roadmap across processes, tooling, automation, and policy, leading initiatives to execution.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close operations for smooth and accurate deal execution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related function within an Enterprise SaaS/B2B company. Previous Lead or Supervisor experience is a plus.
- Proven track record as a Deal Desk operator, adept at handling complex, high-stakes situations involving deal structure, pricing, and contract exceptions.
- Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, revenue recognition principles, and order management.
- Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and CPQ systems, including troubleshooting and workflow optimization.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across Go-to-Market, Legal, and Finance.
- Data-driven and analytical, capable of translating deal trends and operational signals into clear recommendations.
- Outstanding written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, with strong prioritization instincts and the capacity to keep the team unblocked during high-volume periods without compromising quality.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, fully remote, and globally distributed environment.
- Demonstrated strong automation and AI capabilities.
- Experience working remotely is considered a plus.
