Autodesk is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the future of product design simulation within Fusion. In this role, you will empower product designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams by making advanced simulation solutions more accessible and intuitive. You will focus on integrating simulation directly into the design process, leveraging automation and AI to simplify complex analyses and guide better decision-making.

About the Role

You will define and deliver solutions that expand the accessibility of simulation for the product design community. Your focus will be on enhancing user experience, exploring physics and adoption, and integrating automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will bridge the gap between technical and business perspectives, championing simulation as a core, accessible tool rather than a specialized activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and roadmap for integrated design and simulation experiences.
• Champion solutions that connect design, engineering, and manufacturing workflows.
• Drive the adoption of simulation as a core design tool for mainstream users.
• Leverage automation and AI to simplify complex analysis and guide better decisions.
• Ensure responsible AI principles (transparency, explainability, user trust) are embedded in product experiences.
• Partner with engineering, UX, and domain experts to deliver impactful solutions.
• Utilize customer insights and product data to identify unmet needs and prioritize investments.
• Take responsibility for the entire product/solution experience.
• Develop solution concepts combining UX, physics, and AI-driven automation.
• Coordinate efforts with adjacent product managers within product development.
• Develop and articulate project intent, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Create solution examples and workflow demonstrations.
• Evangelize the product internally and externally at all levels.
• Conduct market research and end-user interviews to uncover customer needs and workflows.
• Develop long-term strategy and prioritization to enhance customer capabilities and satisfaction.
• Track and understand business performance in the context of market conditions.

Requirements

• Experience in product management, preferably in design, engineering, or manufacturing software.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of product development workflows, with a preference for consumer products.
• Solid understanding of AI product principles, including human-in-the-loop design, model evaluation, trust, explainability, and UX considerations.
• Familiarity with simulation/CAE as part of the design and validation process.
• Proven ability to define strategy, prioritize roadmaps, and deliver results.
• Experience bringing simulation or analysis tools to broader, non-expert audiences.
• Background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
• Familiarity with data analytics, data synthesis, and hypothesis testing.
• Experience with cloud, automation, or AI-driven product capabilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills.
• Strong project management, planning, and research skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Desired Knowledge and Skills

• Experience with Agile/SCRUM development processes.
• 4+ years of product management experience in the software industry.
• Experience working with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI-assisted design tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, data workflows, or model lifecycle concepts.
• MBA or Master of Science in Engineering is preferred.
• Interest and enthusiasm for data-driven decision-making.
