The US Property & Specialty Product Design and Modeling team is seeking a driven Assistant Director to lead the future of pricing for our Renters portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of advanced data science, business strategy, and cross-functional leadership, building models that directly drive profitable growth.

Reporting to the Specialty Senior Director, you will collaborate closely with teams across US Data Science, Product Management, Delivery, and IT. You will have significant ownership over high-stakes pricing programs and the visibility to influence decisions at the senior level.

Note: Candidates residing within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, working in the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is fully remote with occasional travel requirements.

What You'll Do

• Own the Pricing Roadmap: Develop industry-leading pricing programs in close collaboration with the Product team to unlock segmented, profitable growth opportunities across the Renters Portfolio.
• Drive Program Rollouts: Lead the end-to-end deployment of pricing programs, including model adjustments for regulatory requirements, documentation, and responses to regulatory objections.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with Delivery, Specialty Product, Program Management, IT, and other teams to ensure fast and effective launches.
• Analyze & Iterate: Monitor post-launch results and work closely with business teams to refine go-forward market strategy.
• Innovate Continuously: Identify new profitable growth opportunities by researching emerging modeling techniques and testing novel variables and new data sources.
• Lead with Influence: Clearly communicate tradeoffs, guide leadership toward optimal courses of action, and deliver on commitments.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.
• Expert knowledge of predictive toolsets, serving as an expert resource for tool development.
• Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to establish and build relationships within aligned functional areas or Strategic Business Units (SBUs).
• Ability to provide effective training and presentations to peers, management, and less senior business leaders.
• Ability to use analytical results to persuade team or department management toward a particular course of action.
• A value-driven perspective regarding understanding of work context and impact.
• Educational background typically acquired through a Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or another scientific field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree in a scientific field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
