Job Description

Regional Sales Manager, SMB – NY/NJ

Company: Impel Location: New York/New Jersey (Onsite) Employment Type: Permanent

Impel is seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team. This is an outside sales role focused on driving net new business within the SMB sector, primarily in the New York and New Jersey area. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing, and will play a key role in introducing our products and programs to automotive dealers, brands, and groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with automotive dealers, brands, or groups within your territory to introduce Impel's products and programs to key decision-makers.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process, with a primary focus on prospecting and closing new business opportunities.
  • Achieve sales goals and generate on-target earnings through commissions.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all company products and programs.
  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline with multiple accounts and partners.
  • Demonstrate proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Provide insights into the competitive landscape, including competitor products and strategies.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings and relevant trade shows.
  • Accurately track all communications and sales activities in Salesforce.
  • Drive partner success through best practices, support, and training to maximize sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales experience or a Sales Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Sales experience in technology (SaaS) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Google Platforms.
  • Proven experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
  • Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision-makers.
  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with a strong desire to learn and improve.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity as a representative of the Impel brand.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays, with potential for several hours of driving per day (up to 70% travel).
