About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for policyholders and providers within our Group (dental and vision) insurance division. You will handle inbound calls and written correspondence, addressing inquiries, verifying eligibility, explaining plan provisions, and assisting with claim status. Your role is crucial in driving business by exceeding customer expectations and fostering loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate via phone and written correspondence with policyholders, providers, plan participants, and field partners.
• Answer routine questions, process transactions, and resolve customer issues.
• Accurately document customer inquiries and related data electronically.
• Provide back-office support to service teams as needed.
• Ensure compliance with privacy policies by protecting the confidentiality of plan participants and policyholders.
• Support department goals by meeting established service standards and metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of related experience. Contact center, customer service, dental office, or insurance experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient use of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative in assessing situations.
• Ability to work overtime when required to support business needs.
