Legal Consultant – Energy / Oil & Gas (Remote)

Axiom is seeking experienced Legal Consultants specializing in the Energy, Oil & Gas sector to join our team. This is a remote, contract position, offering the opportunity to work with F500 clients across the APAC region.

About the Role

As a Legal Consultant, you will collaborate closely with the legal and business teams of our clients, providing practical and commercially tailored legal advice. You will play a key role in helping internal stakeholders achieve company goals by addressing a wide spectrum of energy and oil & gas related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice and commercially tailored support on diverse energy, oil & gas matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including those related to bids and tenders, new market entries, project financing, EPC contracts, and other operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework and maintain up-to-date documentation on regulatory requirements.
• Manage and resolve complex joint-venture obligations to mitigate potential claims and risks in the company's best interest.
• Work side-by-side with legal and business teams to support client objectives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the energy, oil & gas sector.
• Experience gained either within private practice or in-house legal departments.
• Proficiency in Legal Consulting, Energy Law, Oil & Gas Law, Contract Drafting, and Regulatory Compliance.
