Legal Consultant, Payments (Remote - APAC)
Axiom is seeking experienced Payments Lawyers to join our team and support Fortune 500 clients across the APAC region. This is a remote, contract-based role offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with leading companies.
About the Role
As a Legal Consultant specializing in Payments, you will provide critical legal advice and support to clients navigating the complex regulatory landscape of financial services and payments systems. You will partner with product teams, interpret regulatory developments, and ensure legal guidance aligns with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on financial regulatory and payments frameworks, particularly within Southeast Asia, including Singapore.
- Collaborate with product teams on licensing, compliance, and the launch of new products and services.
- Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory developments across key markets in the APAC region.
- Offer day-to-day legal guidance that is consistent with clients' strategic goals.
- Draft and review internal policies, risk frameworks, and other legal documentation related to payments and financial services.
Requirements
- 3-10 years of relevant legal experience.
- Deep understanding of regulations impacting payments systems and services in the APAC region.
- Proficiency in payments law, financial regulation, legal advice, compliance, and contract drafting.
