Job Description

SEO Analyst (Fully Remote)

PadSplit is seeking a proactive and forward-thinking SEO Analyst to lead and expand our organic search strategy. This role is crucial for ensuring PadSplit is a trusted source across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered answer engines, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity. You will inherit an active SEO program, drive rapid execution, and become the internal authority on search and answer engine optimization.

This is a permanent, fully remote position based in the USA.

About the Role

As an SEO Analyst, you will own and evolve the existing SEO roadmap. You'll be responsible for implementing technical recommendations, metadata updates, content initiatives, and optimization opportunities, working in partnership with our external SEO consultant. A key focus will be improving PadSplit's visibility and citation share across AI-powered search experiences.

You will also develop content strategies to capture underserved search demand and strengthen PadSplit's authority in the affordable housing sector. This involves structuring, optimizing, and publishing proprietary data and research to establish the company as a leading source for housing and financial mobility insights. You will manage technical SEO aspects, including crawl health, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and indexation, proactively identifying and resolving issues. Additionally, you will optimize market-specific landing pages and build SEO foundations for new market launches, while partnering with PR and content teams to grow high-quality backlinks and brand mentions. Finally, you will own SEO reporting and analytics, measuring key metrics and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Expertise: Proven experience optimizing content and websites for AI-generated search experiences through structured data, entity development, and citation-focused content strategies.
  • Technical SEO Skills: Strong understanding of schema markup, crawl analysis, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, indexing, and technical auditing tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Sitebulb).
  • AI Workflow Experience: Demonstrated ability to leverage LLMs and AI tools for research automation, content scaling, analysis streamlining, and operational efficiency.
  • Content Strategy Knowledge: Expertise in mapping content to search intent, developing content briefs, evaluating quality, and aligning SEO efforts with business outcomes.
  • Analytics Proficiency: Experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, or similar platforms for performance measurement and growth opportunity identification.
  • Project Management Ability: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple SEO initiatives across technical, content, and authority-building workstreams.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills for creating documentation, briefs, recommendations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Data Analysis Mindset: Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. SQL experience and familiarity with BI tools like Looker Studio are a plus.
