Job Description
Growth Marketer
Company: Pogo Location: USA (Hybrid) Employment Type: Permanent
About the Role
Pogo is seeking a Growth Marketer to join our paid acquisition team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to manage paid acquisition strategies across two distinct business lines: our consumer mobile app and our B2B product line. You will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive channel and budget strategies, contributing to a more versatile career profile than typically found in specialized paid roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage paid acquisition campaigns across various channels, including paid social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), programmatic/DSP, and out-of-home advertising (billboards, direct mail).
- Contribute to channel and budget strategy for both consumer and B2B initiatives, identifying areas for investment and optimization.
- Handle the technical aspects of mobile app marketing, including Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs), attribution, and SKAdNetwork.
- Apply rigorous analytical skills to all spending decisions, focusing on metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), Lifetime Value (LTV), pipeline impact, and attribution.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and product teams on landing page optimization, ad creative development, and full-funnel improvements.
- Test, iterate, and scale successful strategies and campaigns.
About You
- Possess 3-6 years of experience in paid acquisition, preferably within a tech company with significant paid media spend. You should have experience managing substantial budgets.
- Demonstrated experience running paid acquisition in both consumer mobile and B2B contexts.
- Ability to manage multiple paid channels concurrently, with a strong understanding of channel effectiveness and budget allocation.
- Proficiency in the technical aspects of mobile app marketing, including MMPs, attribution, and SKAdNetwork.
- A data-driven approach to decision-making, with a strong understanding of CAC, ROAS, LTV, and attribution.
- Experience in a fast-growing organization with a high degree of ownership and initiative.
- Actively utilize AI tools in your workflow.
- Bonus: Experience in mobile gaming, out-of-home advertising, or direct mail.
Why You Might Be Excited About This Opportunity
- Broad Scope: Gain experience across two distinct business models (consumer mobile and B2B), offering a rare breadth of paid marketing exposure.
- Strategic Influence: Play a key role in shaping budget allocation and overall strategy, with the autonomy to test and scale new ideas.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, data, and creative teams to optimize the entire marketing funnel.
- Data Advantages: Leverage Pogo's unique first-party consumer data to inform targeting, creative, and channel strategies.
- Agile Environment: Operate in a fast-paced environment that values quick iteration and experimentation.
Why You Might Not Be Excited About This Opportunity
- Broad Responsibilities: This role requires comfort and capability across consumer mobile acquisition, B2B campaigns, attribution, creative strategy, and budget planning, rather than deep specialization in a single area.
- Data Scrutiny: Expect rigorous data analysis and accountability for all spending decisions, with a focus on efficiency and measurable impact.
- Dynamic Environment: Be prepared for rapid changes in budgets, priorities, and strategies based on performance and market learnings.
- Hands-On Execution: The role requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, including campaign management, debugging, and content review.
- Work Ethic: While flexible work schedules are supported, the role demands significant effort and dedication, especially at the company's current growth stage. We encourage time off to recharge, with unlimited PTO and a minimum 20-day vacation policy.
