About the Role
This is a remote, field-based position where you will be responsible for building strong relationships with key retailers and distributors to increase our market presence. You will report to the Director of Sales and will not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with retailers (e.g., Cub Foods, Hy-Vee, Walmart, Target) to identify sales opportunities and increase product footprint beyond the shelf.
- Foster customer rapport through effective merchandising and maintaining organized back-stock areas.
- Develop strong relationships with regional distributor partners (e.g., College City Beverage, Capitol Beverage) by conducting routine route rides, monitoring inventory, and collaborating on growth strategies.
- Build in-store displays and maintain Point of Sale materials as needed.
- Recommend pricing, product, service, distribution, and merchandising adjustments based on performance and competitive trends.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and SQF practices, reporting any issues to management.
- Complete other assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs. repetitively and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and push/pull up to 100 lbs. regularly.
- Must be accountable, curious, and inclusive.
