About the Role
ManTech is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) mission systems. This is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia, PA, requiring 3 days per week onsite. You will play a crucial role in the technical management of third-party cybersecurity tools, coordinate installation and testing activities, and generate data-driven metrics to inform engineering priorities and leadership decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Technology (OT) Network Enumeration & Protection, including passive network discovery, asset inventory management, threat detection, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
- Third-Party Tool Management, encompassing vendor coordination, tool integration, and acceptance testing.
- Shipboard Installation & Testing, including installation planning, site surveys, commissioning, and operational validation.
- Metrics, Reporting & Stakeholder Communication, requiring the generation of weekly and monthly metrics, data-driven recommendations, cross-team collaboration, and documentation.
- Producing clear written reports and briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in network engineering, OR an Associate’s degree with 14+ years of relevant experience, OR a High School diploma with 16 years of experience.
- An active and current DoD IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE), or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, packet capture and analysis (Wireshark/Zeek), SIEM platforms, firewall and segmentation design, and common vulnerability assessment workflows.
- Must possess a current and active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or PhD with 8+ years of experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.
- GICSP, GRID, CISSP, or equivalent OT/ICS-focused credentials.
- Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, SCADA, or shipboard control systems; familiarity with OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, or Ethernet/IP.
- Experience with passive OT monitoring platforms (e.g., Claroty, Dragos, Nozomi Networks, or equivalent) and integration with enterprise SIEMs.
- Experience supporting Navy shipboard, afloat, or deployed environments.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-82, IEC 62443, RMF (NIST SP 800-37), and DoD cybersecurity policy.
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for data processing, metrics generation, and light tool development.
