As a vital first point of contact, you will independently assist both internal and external clients by clarifying information, conducting research, and resolving non-clinical issues. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Nurse Managers/Supervisors, field staff, and patients to schedule home infusion visits within a designated region.
- Complete nurse assignments for patients, manage visit reschedules based on patient availability, and assign new patients to appropriate nurses.
- Proactively monitor all patient appointments to ensure accuracy.
- Act as a coordinator for nursing referrals, liaising with pharmacy, reimbursement, and nursing departments while delivering excellent customer service.
- Communicate with various staff, departments, and prescribers via fax, email, instant messaging, and phone.
- Monitor personal email and nursing mailboxes for follow-up needs, prioritizing tasks accordingly.
- Utilize multiple Excel documents to identify tasks and their urgency.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from patients, field staff, and other departments regarding nursing and patient referrals and schedules.
- Investigate and research issues to provide effective resolutions.
- Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving, with the ability to multitask effectively and apply critical thinking.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into appropriate systems.
Requirements
- High School education or GED required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant Customer Service experience.
- High proficiency and regular use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook are essential.
- A proactive work ethic with the ability to be managed and trained virtually.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent professional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems, and make independent decisions.
- Reliable internet connection: cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speeds.
