About the Role
This is a field-based, permanent, onsite position reporting to the Area Vice President. As the Vessel Closure Regional Sales Director for the Mid-Atlantic region (Pittsburgh/DC), you will be instrumental in driving the success of Abbott's Vascular division. This division provides cutting-edge, minimally invasive products for vascular disease treatment, including drug-eluting stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices, peripheral stents, thrombectomy catheters, and atherectomy devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive profitable growth across the Vessel Closure portfolio, focusing on Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, and Interventional Radiologists.
- Achieve sales targets for the complete Vessel Closure portfolio, including small and large bore arterial, venous, and future product releases, through strong sales execution.
- Lead, manage, and coach a team of Account Managers and Clinical Specialists, ensuring they deliver business results through effective coaching, motivation, and performance management.
- Increase market share within the assigned region across the full product portfolio and influence key stakeholders within hospital settings.
- Develop and execute commercial sales strategies aligned with marketing strategies to achieve best-in-class sales execution.
- Drive contracting efforts to secure favorable positions within regional accounts.
- Hire, coach, develop, and performance manage all direct reports, setting high standards for the team.
- Oversee customer relationship management, including targeting, onboarding, contracting, clinical support, pricing, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management, and conflict resolution.
- Manage planning, forecasting, expense control, reporting, sales process adherence, and collaboration with Sales Analytics.
- Maintain adherence to company sales management and reporting systems.
- Measure and report feedback on sales strategies and marketing program effectiveness to inform future development.
- Identify account and user sales target pipelines capable of yielding desired revenue or productivity goals.
- Organize regular performance review meetings with the team and establish individual development plans.
- Ensure all direct reports meet and maintain minimum required product knowledge and sales/presentation skills.
- Uphold company values, ethics, and legal obligations, ensuring compliance with applicable Corporate/Divisional Policies and procedures.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7+ years of related work experience.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.

- Base pay range: $113,300.00 – $226,700.00 (Note: Actual pay may vary by location).
