About the Role

We are seeking a senior, individual contributor to join our team as a Legal Innovation Partner. In this remote role, you will be a strategic advisor embedded within key client relationships, focusing on legal AI strategy and transformation. You will be responsible for client success, driving renewals and expansion within your portfolio of law firm and legal department clients.

You will guide clients through their AI adoption journey, from understanding current workflows and identifying high-impact use cases to implementation, change management, and outcome measurement. Your clients will trust you as a thought partner for all their legal AI-related questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of strategic law firm and legal department client relationships, serving as the primary advisor for their NetDocuments experience and AI transformation.
• Drive renewals and expansion within your assigned book of business, maintaining high net revenue retention and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Develop and execute tailored AI adoption roadmaps for each client, collaborating with firm leadership and legal technology teams to define high-value use cases and measurable adoption plans.
• Lead executive-level business reviews with firm management, CIOs, and Chief Innovation Officers, clearly communicating ROI, adoption performance, and strategic direction.
• Proactively identify and escalate at-risk accounts, partnering with Sales and Forward Deployed Engineers to develop and execute remediation plans.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to channel client feedback into the product roadmap, advocating for features that drive adoption.
• Contribute to the development of the Legal Innovation Partner playbook, sharing best practices for AI transformation engagement.
• Represent NetDocuments at legal technology conferences, client advisory boards, and industry events.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in legal technology, legal operations, enterprise customer success, or management consulting focused on the legal sector.
• Fluent in using AI for legal workflows and legal use cases.
• Direct experience owning client relationships and renewal/expansion outcomes in a B2B SaaS or legal technology environment.
• Deep understanding of law firm operations, including structure, decision-making processes, technology evaluation, and attorney behavior.
• A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal industry experience is strongly preferred. Prior law firm practice experience is a significant advantage.
• Proven ability to build trusted advisory relationships with senior law firm stakeholders (partners, COOs, CIOs, practice group leaders).
• Comfort navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling client presentations and ROI narratives.
• Familiarity with legal AI applications, document management systems, and the broader LegalTech ecosystem.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to client sites and industry events.
