About the Role
This role is focused on Abbott’s Stroke Prevention offering, specifically the Amplatzer™ Amulet™ LAA Occluder. As a Clinical Sales Specialist, you will provide essential clinical and sales support through customer education and procedure coverage within a defined region. You will train interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff, and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart products and offer technical assistance to physicians during procedures. This position also involves communicating product, clinical, and market data to relevant personnel and supporting the development and implementation of product marketing strategies.
This position may be hired at different levels depending on candidate experience.
What You’ll Work On
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to ensure optimal case coverage and positive clinical outcomes for patients.
- Serve as the primary resource for clinical support, including surgical coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for company products.
- Educate customers on the benefits and proper clinical usage of company products, keeping them informed of the latest industry developments in products, therapies, and technologies.
- Actively engage in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions, linking data outcomes to key messaging.
- Meet with existing and potential clients (healthcare providers) to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care, and propose creative and feasible solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician personality types.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 9 years of related cardiovascular work experience.
- At least 3 years of specific clinical experience in Structural Heart or Electrophysiology.
- Verification of ability to satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19. (Medical or religious accommodations will be explored if needed).
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in life sciences or medical training (e.g., RN, EMT, Perfusion).
- Strong clinical orientation.
- Experience with products used in interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery.
- Familiarity with echocardiography and other indirect imaging modalities.
