About the Role
Colgate-Palmolive is a global leader in consumer products, operating in over 200 countries across Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Skin Care, and Pet Nutrition. We are seeking a dynamic Customer Development Manager to join our ADUSA team. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales objectives, including volume and spending targets, through effective customer engagement and internal collaboration. You will develop and execute strategic plans at both corporate and divisional levels to maximize volume, profitability, and customer service. This is a field-based role requiring close collaboration with the ADUSA team, Grocery team, and other cross-functional departments to implement business plans and drive growth with our ADUSA customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop customer strategies that leverage consumer insights and identify opportunities for products and programs.
- Maintain awareness of competitive activities and apply critical thinking to navigate ambiguity.
- Establish and nurture strong partnerships with internal cross-functional teams, divisional buyers, and the customer merchandising team, built on trust and integrity.
- Influence business agendas through collaboration, negotiation, and data-driven thought leadership.
- Seek opportunities for improvement and develop creative solutions by adapting strategies based on pre and post-evaluation and ROI analyses.
- Analyze business trends within accounts, including brand share, pricing, promotion levels, and trade class development.
- Understand the effectiveness of various investment levers across the entire Profit & Loss (P&L).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, category management, or similar roles.
- Strong experience working with data and analytical tools.
- Understanding of P&L management and strong negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding and experience working with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the consumer product goods industry.
- Previous experience working with ADUSA or in the grocery retail environment.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: $96,800.00 - $137,000.00 USD, determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
