We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a veterinary software company dedicated to enhancing patient care, improving staff efficiency, and minimizing burnout in animal hospitals worldwide. This is a permanent, 100% remote position for candidates located in Latin America.

About the Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering modern veterinary software solutions. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, tackle complex features and bugs, and contribute to a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Your work will directly impact thousands of users and help solve real-world problems for veterinary practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of software projects from initial scoping through to release.
• Collaborate closely with product teammates to plan work and guide discussions on scope and sizing.
• Design efficient, reliable, and scalable software solutions.
• Build software using Elixir, React, and associated technologies.
• Mentor more junior team members and help define their work.
• Provide accurate updates on work progress.
• Lead collaboration with engineering and QA teammates to deliver quality software in a timely manner.
• Research and resolve complex customer issues.
• Stay current with and lead discussions on industry best practices in design, development, unit testing, and software engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building modern SaaS applications.
• Deep knowledge of Elixir/Erlang or another functional language for back-end development.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience using React.
• Proven experience with relational databases, including applying good design patterns and building/tuning efficient queries and data access.
• Must be located in Latin America.
• Fluent English level.
