Our Client
Our client is a leader in data-driven insights and strategic consultation for the global entertainment and technology industries.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer who understands that quality begins with a deep comprehension of the product, the user, the data, and the real-world context in which solutions are used. As a market research company, our client transforms data into clear, trustworthy insights. This role requires an understanding of how data moves from source to transformation to final presentation, and how accuracy, freshness, and clarity impact client trust and decision-making.
This is a senior role responsible for driving quality across the full delivery lifecycle through shift-left quality practices, strong product understanding, scalable automation, data validation, and AI-enabled workflows. A key focus will be identifying manual, repeatable work and replacing it with automation, AI-assisted workflows, or agents wherever practical.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of products, users, workflows, data flows, and client needs.
- Drive quality outcomes from an end-user, client-impact, and data-integrity perspective.
- Apply shift-left quality practices by engaging early with Engineering, Product, Data, and UX to identify risks, clarify requirements, improve testability, and shape validation strategy.
- Define quality expectations, validation approaches, and release readiness signals across the delivery lifecycle.
- Validate data across the full lifecycle, from source systems through transformation to final reporting and visualization layers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, freshness, and alignment with business expectations.
- Build and maintain scalable automated testing using Playwright, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and TestRail.
- Contribute to UI, API, data, and system-level validation strategies.
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude Code throughout the QA lifecycle to improve test design, accelerate automation, and reduce repeatable manual work.
- Identify opportunities to replace manual, repeatable QA tasks with automation, AI-assisted workflows, or agents.
- Apply risk-based thinking to triage issues, guide release decisions, and improve confidence in quality signals.
- Mentor others on shift-left quality assurance, automation, data validation, and AI-enabled QA practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software QA or quality engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and TestRail or similar tools.
- Strong experience with shift-left quality practices, including early engagement in requirements, design, and validation planning.
- Strong experience with data validation, including validating data from source through transformation to final reporting or visualization layers.
- Experience verifying data correctness, completeness, freshness, and business-rule accuracy.
- Experience working with observability or monitoring signals to assess system and data operations.
- Experience across multiple testing domains, including UI, API, data validation, or platform/system testing.
- Experience improving automation reliability, reducing flaky tests, and increasing confidence in automated quality signals.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, or similar to improve workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Strong understanding of regression strategy, defect triage, and release readiness.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to risk.
