About the Role

We are seeking a Tech Linguistic Tester to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for proofreading and editing content localized into your native language, ensuring accuracy and identifying any errors in grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, political correctness, inconsistencies, and spacing. You will also occasionally translate content from English to your native language and perform functional testing on user interfaces (UIs).

Key Responsibilities

• Write and report relevant bugs and errors using best practices through an internal database system.
• Evaluate translations within the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation.
• Act as a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in the target language, researching and resolving linguistic questions.
• Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries.
• Troubleshoot basic problems and effectively communicate and escalate testing issues.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with high quality.
• Perform QA on various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.
• Discover and report defects (bugs) using client-specific bug tracking tools.
• Undertake and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual fluency (both spoken and written) in Danish.
• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in Danish.
• Familiarity with native Danish culture and trends.
• A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a college or university in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of professional translation and localization experience.
• Experience with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to navigate networks and websites using different browsers.
• Basic knowledge of PC hardware (desktop and laptop) and smartphones (iPhone or Android).
• Familiarity with Android and iOS operating systems.
• Avid user of social media with familiarity with the Facebook Family of Apps.
• Experience with consumer devices and utilities such as messaging, health, fitness, calendar, and organization apps.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
