About the Team

The Product Marketing team at Stripe drives go-to-market strategies and informs product strategy through customer insights. This highly cross-functional team collaborates closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, and Demand Generation. We engage across the entire product lifecycle, from shaping products to driving launches and post-launch growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Copy Editor to join our Narrative and Editorial team. You will be instrumental in ensuring all published content adheres to our house style and maintains our high bar for excellence. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of marketing materials, including blog posts, guides, reports, infographics, customer stories, emails, web pages, ads, and video transcripts. Beyond editing, you will also contribute to maintaining our style guide, developing editorial documentation, customizing AI writing tools, and optimizing operational processes for the Copy Desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Copy edit diverse marketing content to align with style guidelines, uphold quality standards, and ensure fidelity to our voice and tone.
• Refine prose, eliminate jargon, and enhance clarity and grace in all content.
• Continuously update and clarify the style guide to reflect evolving standards and address new challenges.
• Build and maintain internal AI and self-serve tools to support the editing process for both the Copy Desk and marketing teams.
• Iterate on operational processes for content intake, queue management, service level agreements, and quality assurance to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a copy editor across various channels and content formats, preferably in marketing.
• Proven experience collaborating with diverse teams, understanding regional nuances and adapting communication styles.
• A strong passion for copy editing and a deep appreciation for the power of well-written prose.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with creative or design teams.
• Experience writing and editing technical content.
• A broad understanding of B2B marketing team mechanics and objectives.
• Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira).

What We Offer

• Compensation: The annual US base salary range for this role is $143,400 - $215,200. (Note: This range may be adjusted based on candidate experience, qualifications, and location. International applicants can inquire about salary ranges for their location during the interview process.)
• Benefits: Potential benefits include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.

Working Remotely

This is a fully remote position, defined as living 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from a Stripe office. While optional office visits for meetings are possible, the expectation is regular work from home. Stripe does not cover relocation costs for remote positions.
