We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales organization. In this remote role, you will be instrumental in supporting our sales team in the Western region by providing expert guidance and assistance in architecting solutions for our customers' application security challenges. As a subject-matter expert, you will work closely with sales managers, prospects, and partners to demonstrate how Thales solutions meet and exceed customer requirements, with a strong emphasis on Web Application Security.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize consultative selling skills to understand customer technical requirements and propose effective solutions using Thales products.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts for Thales solutions.
• Provide high-level consultation and enablement on Thales products and capabilities to partners, end-users, and internal departments.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Business Development to provide technical recommendations for product enhancements based on market trends and customer needs.
• Liaise with Customer Success and Technical Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare workflows and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and project proposals.
• Maintain a high level of technical awareness regarding relevant products, competitors, and market trends in cybersecurity.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience in areas such as DDoS Mitigation, Web Application Firewalls, API Management & Security, Bot Management, or related cybersecurity solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of the Application Security industry, products, vendor landscape, and emerging trends.
• Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, CDN, load balancers, proxies, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization technologies (K8s, Docker).
• Prior experience in API security, API management, SIEM, DevOps, or DevSecOps is desirable.
• Knowledge of compliance standards (PCI, SOX, HIPAA) is an advantage.
• Proven experience with value-selling or consultative methodologies, playbooks, and processes.
• Ability to effectively present technical material to diverse audiences.

Special Position Requirements

• Up to 30% travel may be required.
