The Dollar Foundation, a non-profit entity, stewards the Bitcoin Dollar (BTCD), a DeFi yield platform built on a collateralized token with 50/50 BTC/USD exposure. The platform's sBTCD token generates yield from productive BTC, productive dollars, and a volatility-monetization engine, serving as a powerful collateral primitive for structured products like the USD Vault and BTC Vault. The protocol is live, audited, and backed by industry leaders.

About the Role

The Dollar Foundation is seeking a founding Chief Executive Officer to drive capital formation, Total Value Locked (TVL) growth, and the FISC token economy. This is a hands-on, commercial, crypto-native operating role for an experienced leader who has successfully scaled a DeFi protocol, possesses deep expertise in tokenomics, and has established credibility within the crypto ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

TVL Growth: Own and drive TVL growth through token demand, staking, and vault deposits, establishing and tracking key performance metrics.
Capital Formation: Lead end-to-end capital formation, including raising a Series A round from crypto-native investors and securing seed liquidity and incentive capital.
Tokenomics Strategy: Oversee the FISC token economy and capital markets strategy, including emissions, incentive programs, liquidity mining, and bribe market deployment.
Curator & Risk Pipeline: Convert and deepen relationships with curators and risk firms, turning warm leads into live, endorsed integrations.
Capital Stack Development: Build the capital stack by engaging crypto hedge funds, LPs, and ecosystem partners, with a future focus on institutional and TradFi allocators.
Public Representation: Serve as the public face of Bitcoin Dollar and FISC, representing the protocol at conferences, podcasts, and online forums with a clear and transparent narrative.
Trust Infrastructure: Drive the trust-infrastructure agenda, including Proof of Reserves, aggregator listings, public risk assessments, and forging integrations to enhance sBTCD composability and distribution.
Team Leadership: Lead a small, senior team, hiring selectively, managing runway and burn, and stewarding the long-term roadmap towards a multi-asset "Dollar" family, FISC seasons, and DAO governance.

Qualifications

Proven track record of driving measurable TVL or Assets Under Management (AUM) growth at a DeFi protocol with specific, defensible metrics.
Deep fluency in crypto capital markets, including tokenomics, incentive design, lending markets, vaults, leverage, yield markets, liquidity provisioning, and on-chain analytics.
Established relationships with curators and risk firms, with a demonstrated ability to convert skeptics into live integrations.
Experience in fundraising from crypto VCs and/or allocating capital as an investor, with the ability to lead a Series A round.
Strong public presence and communication skills, comfortable presenting complex DeFi mechanics to sophisticated audiences on stage, podcasts, and social media.
A player-coach mentality, thriving in a hands-on role within a small, senior team.
High integrity, conviction, comfort with token-weighted compensation and early-stage ambiguity, and sound regulatory awareness.

Nice to Have

Direct working relationships with key curators (e.g., Re7, Block Analitica, Gauntlet, Steakhouse, Veda).
Prior founder or CEO experience at a DeFi protocol.
In-depth knowledge of stablecoins, yield generation, or Real-World Asset (RWA) protocols.
Network within the Pendle, Morpho, Aave, or Sky ecosystems.
