About the Role
This is a junior-level Business Development role focused on supporting the accommodation sector. The position requires the candidate to be based in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Market Managers and Senior Market Managers in developing and maintaining strong partner relationships by providing support services to hotel partners (e.g., room types, rates, promotions, availability, content).
- Optimize hotel partners' product offerings (content, rates, and availability) on external sites by utilizing internal portals to enhance customer experience.
- Liaise with hotel partners on behalf of Trip.com Group to ensure a smooth check-in process for customers.
- Resolve payment disputes between hotel partners and Trip.com Group.
- Execute strategies effectively to meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics, targets, goals, and strategic objectives set by the management team.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English.
- Valid working authorization in Canada (sponsorship is not provided).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 1 year of working experience in hotel reservations, travel agencies, tour operators, or Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) is considered a plus.
- Positive and enthusiastic team player with a strong service orientation.
- Detail-oriented with a capability for fast learning.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to thrive in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
