About the Role

The Director of People & Culture will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the People & Culture function at San Clemente Palace Venice. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to talent management, employee engagement, and fostering a positive and productive work environment aligned with Mandarin Oriental's core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the People & Culture department, ensuring efficient and effective HR operations.
• Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development.
• Foster a culture of employee engagement, recognition, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits programs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to align People & Culture initiatives with business objectives.
• Champion the Mandarin Oriental brand and its commitment to service excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior People & Culture or Human Resources leadership role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of talent management, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• A passion for creating exceptional employee experiences.
• Fluency in English is required.
