Job Description
Product Designer (Remote)
Pogo is seeking a talented Product Designer to join our growing team. As one of our early design hires, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product design and creative direction of our innovative consumer insights platform. This platform empowers brands and retailers to connect with millions of purchase-verified consumers, and will be utilized by some of the world's largest companies.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Design core product experiences end-to-end, from initial exploration through launch and iteration for both our B2B platform and our consumer app, which currently serves over 3 million users and is rapidly expanding.
- Create polished and delightful user interfaces that build trust and effectively communicate the power of our data and AI technology.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail in layout, typography, spacing, color, motion, and interactions.
- Contribute to defining the product roadmap and establishing our design language, systems, and culture.
- Discover creative solutions to deliver high-quality work within a fast-paced and often ambiguous startup environment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and go-to-market teams as one of two designers.
We are committed to attracting top talent and offer above-market salaries and equity.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have proven experience designing software products, with a bonus for experience in a startup environment or designing AI interactions. Experience with enterprise-grade products is also a plus.
- Are proficient in Figma, enabling rapid and efficient design iteration. You understand how to make necessary near-term tradeoffs while maintaining a strong design vision.
- Possess a deep passion for design, holding a high bar for quality and a clear vision of what constitutes excellent design. You actively seek inspiration from leading products and designers.
- Actively incorporate Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or Claude into your design workflow.
- Are relentless in pursuing optimal solutions, willing to explore, iterate, and even discard work to achieve a stronger product.
- Are a "full-stack" designer, capable of conceptualizing experiences from scratch and collaborating effectively with product and engineering to bring them to life.
- Demonstrate strong product intuition, with a talent for creating simple and clear experiences, while also being open to adjusting initial instincts based on user data.
Why You Might Be Excited About This Opportunity
- Impactful Product Design: Contribute to an emerging enterprise product used by major global companies. You'll leverage qualitative interviews and customer feedback to shape product decisions and design solutions tailored to enterprise needs.
- Design-Centric Culture: Join a team that deeply values best-in-class design. You won't need to advocate for the importance of design; it's ingrained in our ethos.
- Collaborative Environment: Work alongside exceptional product thinkers across all departments, from engineering to co-founders.
- Rapid Feedback Loops: Experience quick iteration cycles with user feedback available in hours, not months.
- Shape Design Culture: As an early team member, you will significantly influence our design culture, processes, and traditions.
Why You Might Not Be Excited About Us
- Dynamic Priorities: Be prepared for shifting priorities as we tackle ambiguous problems and embrace experimentation and data-driven pivots.
- Lean Design Team: You will be one of two designers, working closely with an experienced Lead Product Designer. This role requires independence and a comfort level with learning and operating within small, agile teams, without extensive design management or user research overhead.
- Calculated Speed: We value rapid iteration and shipping weekly. Designs may be implemented and tested within days, requiring adaptability and a focus on "Calculated Speed."
- Commitment Beyond 9-to-5: While we trust you to manage your flexible schedule for productivity, our current stage requires significant commitment. We strongly encourage time off to recharge, with unlimited PTO and a minimum 20-day vacation policy.
