Company: Ruby Labs Location: Remote (Europe, within approximately ± 4 hours of CET) Contract: Permanent Seniority: Mid-level
About Us
Ruby Labs is a leading tech company dedicated to creating and operating innovative consumer products across the health, education, and entertainment industries. We are driven by a passion for innovation and are constantly seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic teams. Learn more about our journey at https://rubylabs.com/about-us/.
About the Role
We are a fast-paced consumer software company with browser-based document tools used by millions globally. Our growth is fueled by performance marketing, where every investment is measured and every campaign is accountable to specific targets. While paid search has been our primary acquisition engine, we are now building paid social as a core growth channel.
We are seeking a Social Media Ads Manager to lead this initiative. You will be responsible for establishing and scaling our Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising program profitably, with the potential to expand to other platforms as the channel matures. This is a hands-on role where you will be actively involved in daily ad account management, creative strategy, budget oversight, and performance analysis.
What You'll Own (Key Performance Indicators)
- Paid social Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) against defined targets.
- Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) at the channel level.
- Spend efficiency and budget pacing.
- Creative testing velocity and success rate.
- Profitable channel growth and scaling of spend over time.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Meta Paid Social Management: Develop strategy, build campaigns, allocate budgets, manage bidding, define audience targeting, optimize performance, and scale across our product portfolio.
- Achieve Performance Targets: Manage ad spend against clear CPA and ROAS goals, ensure proper budget pacing, and make daily/weekly optimizations to maintain channel efficiency during scaling.
- Drive Creative Strategy: Collaborate with content creators, designers, and video producers to brief, test, and iterate on ad creative. Define the testing roadmap and establish a repeatable system for leveraging creative learnings, as creative is a primary driver in paid social.
- Implement a Disciplined Testing Program: Structure and analyze A/B tests across creative, audiences, placements, and offers. Distinguish meaningful results from noise and document successful strategies.
- Establish Reporting and Feedback Loops: Track performance against targets, share insights with the wider growth team, and work closely with data colleagues to ensure sound attribution and measurement.
- Expand the Channel: As the Meta channel proves successful, lead the expansion into additional relevant platforms with a disciplined, target-driven approach.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with the paid search team, external agency partners, and product teams to ensure alignment in messaging, landing pages, and audience strategy across the funnel.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing paid social campaigns with direct ownership of budget and performance, preferably in a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), subscription, or app/web product environment.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Meta Ads Manager, including campaign structure, Advantage+ / ASC, audience strategy, Pixel/Conversions API, and creative-first optimization.
- A genuinely performance-driven mindset, comfortable being measured on CPA and ROAS, and confident in making data-driven decisions.
- Strong creative instincts, with the ability to understand compelling ad content and brief creative teams effectively.
- Analytical fluency, including proficiency with reporting tools and dashboards, sensible interpretation of attribution data, and the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
- Self-directed and organized, capable of owning a channel with minimal supervision and prioritizing tasks that drive impact.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with YouTube and Google Display ads.
- Experience with TikTok Ads or other emerging paid social platforms.
- Proven experience scaling a channel from an early stage to significant spend levels.
- Familiarity with SaaS/subscription unit economics (LTV, payback period, cohort ROAS).
- Experience working with creative teams or User-Generated Content (UGC) pipelines.
- SQL proficiency or comfort working with raw performance data.
Location
Ruby Labs operates within the Central European Time (CET) zone. We welcome applicants from any country, provided they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET to ensure effective collaboration during standard working hours.
What We Offer
- Remote Work Environment: Enjoy the flexibility and work-life balance of working from anywhere.
- Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO): Take the time you need to recharge, without counting days.
