Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java, Vue) - Remote

Zartis is a digital solutions provider partnering with firms across various industries, including financial services. We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our distributed team and contribute to modernizing and scaling digital platforms for a market-leading client in the financial sector.

About the Role

You will be part of a dynamic, distributed team focused on developing new technologies to solve real business problems. This role requires strong communication skills, proactivity, experience building software from scratch, and meticulous attention to detail. You will work closely with business users, vendors, and stakeholders to craft effective solutions, taking a lead role in design, implementation, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement solutions addressing business needs, considering functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop and maintain business requirements, design documents, and other project documentation.
Lead the design and implementation of new components and functionality.
Manage key tasks and initiatives, providing timely status updates.
Liaise with testing teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive solution testing, including the creation and execution of automated test scripts.
Evaluate new technologies and third-party solutions.
Develop integrations with third-party solutions by liaising with vendors.
Design and develop robust, secure, and maintainable technical solutions adhering to development standards.
Create technical documentation, including design documents, guidelines, and standards.
Contribute to department standards and guidelines.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior team members.
Contribute to overall department goals and objectives.

Requirements

8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Java/J2EE and related JVM technologies.
Strong hands-on expertise with the Spring ecosystem: Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration.
Proven experience designing technical solutions from business requirements, including making pragmatic architecture decisions.
Solid track record in building and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of HTTP protocols and designing/consuming REST APIs.
Experience implementing web application security best practices (secure coding, authentication/authorization, OWASP awareness).
Strong SQL and RDBMS skills with Oracle/MySQL (or equivalent).
Proficiency with Git, modern IDEs, and collaborative development workflows.
Working knowledge of Linux environments.
Experience working in Agile teams with shared ownership and iterative delivery.

Nice to Have

Experience developing Single Page Applications (SPAs).
Exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as AngularJS / Angular (2+) (or equivalent).
Experience with DevOps tooling and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible or similar).
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message-queue systems.
Background delivering web solutions for Financial Services organizations.
Demonstrated ability to translate high-level solutions into functional specifications and formal business requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working in cross-functional, distributed project teams.
