We are seeking a highly analytical, organized, and strategic Chief of Staff to work closely with our Founder/CEO, Birk Jernström, in Stockholm. This role is crucial for scaling our organization and business operations from an early-stage startup to a scale-up. You will be a generalist, comfortable diving into any task necessary to drive the business forward, acting as the "spider in the web" across the organization. You will have significant accountability and ownership to optimize business operations, identify new opportunities, and contribute wherever needed to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the CEO/Founder on all strategic and operational initiatives.
- Design and implement business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), goals, and processes to achieve them.
- Prepare monthly investor reporting.
- Explore strategic initiatives, business development, and partnerships to unlock new opportunities.
- Conduct data analysis to support strategic initiatives and discussions.
- Perform build vs. buy analyses for key future initiatives.
- Lead operational functions including budget management, accounting, legal, and compliance.
- Design and optimize recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Enhance team alignment, culture, and rituals.
- Organize team events, such as offsites and regular demos.
- Undertake any other necessary tasks to support the next stage of business growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working within a startup in a similar role, such as Chief of Staff, Business Operations, or COO.
- Experience from a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) is highly desirable.
- Strong data analysis abilities, with SQL knowledge or the capacity to learn quickly, to analyze business performance and identify strategic opportunities.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, comfortable switching between strategic planning and executing day-to-day tasks.
- High curiosity, technical aptitude, and resourcefulness to identify and implement workflow improvements and automations.
- A collaborative mindset with a strong desire to learn and contribute across multiple functions, free from ego.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, with a potential interest in starting your own business.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation and equity.
- High autonomy and ownership, with the opportunity to shape our business, team, and culture.
- Twice-yearly team offsites in various cities to foster collaboration and strategic planning.
- A fast-moving, pragmatic environment with a small, senior team focused on momentum and impact.
- The opportunity to work on a mission with leverage, building tools that empower other builders.
