EHR Principal Sales Executive, HCLS US Providers

Are you passionate about transforming healthcare organizations through cloud computing and AI? Do you have a proven track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding targets by helping healthcare providers achieve significant business outcomes? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced and motivated Electronic Health Record (EHR) Principal Sales Executive to join our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in helping healthcare provider customers adopt Epic on AWS and modernize their operations. You will engage with hospital system executives, understand their priorities, and position AWS as the platform of choice for mission-critical clinical, operational, and financial healthcare systems. You will also influence AWS's strategy for supporting customers within the Epic EHR ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed annual revenue targets by driving AWS adoption for Epic EHR workloads across a portfolio of healthcare provider accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify migration opportunities, map stakeholder relationships, and guide engagements from initial contact through to deal closure.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, executive networking, industry events, and collaboration with AWS partner and marketing teams.
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, translating technical solution value into tangible financial and operational business outcomes for C-suite executives (CFOs, CIOs, CTOs) and clinical leadership.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and to position AWS competitively.
  • Engage Systems Integrator (SI) partners to support deal progression, including joint selling motions and commercial structuring.
  • Negotiate and close multi-year commitments, including Enterprise Discount Programs (EDPs) and Private Pricing Agreements (PPAs).
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for product enhancements and service improvements that accelerate Epic on AWS adoption.
  • Build deep, trust-based relationships with senior executives within hospital systems to establish AWS as a long-term strategic partner.
  • Contribute to the AWS Healthcare sales community by sharing best practices and deal strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Healthcare, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of technology sales experience in SaaS or Cloud.
  • 7+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales, or equivalent business development, sales engineering, or consulting experience.
  • 7+ years of technology sales experience selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with and influencing C-level executives.
  • Experience driving improvement programs in operations, engineering, and support fields.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry dynamics, including value-based care models, health system consolidation, and the financial pressures driving technology modernization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to successfully complete deals in Healthcare provider settings.
  • Strong experience selling cloud infrastructure, consulting, hosting, or managed services specifically for Epic EHR ecosystems at senior customer levels.
  • Experience managing joint go-to-market success with technology partners.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Experience positioning cloud and AI/ML solutions for healthcare use cases such as clinical decision support, population health analytics, or interoperability.
  • Excellent track record of selling into academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), or large multi-hospital health systems.
