About the Role
The Associate Brand Manager (ABM), Innovation, will play a key role in developing and executing innovation and renovation initiatives across brands like Nature’s Bounty, Osteo Bi-Flex, Nuun, and GARD. This position is responsible for driving data-informed decisions, leading product renovations, and collaborating cross-functionally to manage innovation projects from concept through launch and post-launch optimization. The ABM will analyze business performance, identify market trends and growth opportunities, and accelerate speed-to-market through strong project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Track ongoing performance across innovation and renovation platforms, including consumption and velocity.
- Analyze syndicated data (Circana, Stackline), panel data, internal sales data, social listening, and external reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop actionable insights to guide pipeline prioritization and renovation decisions.
- Monitor the competitive landscape, innovation pipelines, performance, and category shifts.
- Support post-launch tracking and provide optimization recommendations based on consumer feedback, ratings, reviews, and repeat purchase data.
- Create executive-ready reports and dashboards for leadership updates.
- Lead renovation initiatives, including formula, claims, packaging updates, and flavor extensions, across various brands.
- Drive the execution of innovation projects through the stage-gate process, from brief development to launch readiness.
- Partner with R&D, Medical, Regulatory, Packaging, and Operations on product development.
- Support concept development, claims and concept validation, and consumer research.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand strategy.
- Assist in the development and execution of innovation marketing plans and launch strategies.
- Help create sales materials, customer presentations, and commercialization assets.
- Collaborate with Sales/Customer Development on launch planning and customer-specific needs.
- Track and manage innovation/renovation project timelines.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience, including internships, in brand management for a CPG Food, CPG Personal Product, or OTC brand.
- Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market dynamics into actionable tactics.
- Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team player, exhibit strategic agility, make complex decisions, deal with ambiguity, and influence senior management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with an action-oriented mindset and a passion for results.
- Strong presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to interact successfully with senior management.
- Customer and consumer focus, with the ability to build and foster effective peer relationships and collaborate across functional areas.
- Proficiency in Circana data analysis, marketing budget management, volume forecasting, project management, and copy development are considered a plus.
