Social Media Marketing Specialist (Freelance)

Strange Face, a cinematic video production studio, is seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Marketing Specialist to lead the promotional campaign for "Bublik," a short film entering the festival circuit. This is a remote, freelance, project-based role.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the online presence and drive visibility for an art-house psychodrama. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to build anticipation and engagement ahead of festival submissions and screenings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a social media strategy for "Bublik" across Instagram and other relevant platforms.
• Grow the film's visibility and audience engagement leading up to festival submissions and screenings.
• Define and maintain a distinctive voice and visual identity that aligns with the film's unique tone and aesthetic.
• Plan, schedule, and manage content, including teasers, behind-the-scenes footage, and talent features.
• Track social media performance and adjust strategy as needed.
• Coordinate with the director and production team to ensure cohesive messaging and asset utilization.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing.
• Proven experience in film, festival marketing, or the arts/culture sector is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated taste and understanding of cinematic and editorial aesthetics, beyond just engagement metrics.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a campaign from start to finish.
• Experience with campaign management and social media strategy development.
