You will define the technical strategy for leveraging automation and AI to accelerate revenue execution. You will build and mentor a team that collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to streamline processes and deliver impactful solutions.
As the founding manager of this function, you will shape its operational model, deliverables, and growth trajectory. You will partner with Revenue Technology, Operations, Product, and Engineering to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions. This is a high-impact position for an individual passionate about building a function from the ground up and treating AI and automation as a core discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Build the GTM Engineering Function:
- Define the technical direction, operating model, and standards for the team.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talented GTM Engineers as the function scales.
- Remain hands-on, contributing to the delivery of high-leverage projects alongside the team.
- Establish clear benchmarks for discovery, build quality, and impact measurement.
- Drive Automation and AI Across Revenue Workflows:
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks, accelerate revenue execution, and enable new capabilities through AI.
- Develop robust automation solutions using AI agents, integration platforms, scripting, and Salesforce native tools.
- Define and enforce standards for the safe and effective deployment of AI within revenue workflows, in collaboration with the AI Council and Revenue Technology.
- Partner Directly with Revenue Leaders:
- Build strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations leaders to identify critical challenges and align on priorities.
- Translate revenue strategy into actionable engineering initiatives and communicate engineering progress in terms of business outcomes.
- Serve as a credible technical voice in cross-functional discussions.
- Ship Practical Solutions with Speed:
- Guide the team in delivering iterative, measurable improvements to GTM processes.
- Balance the delivery of quick wins with the execution of larger, strategic initiatives.
- Foster a continuous feedback loop for building, validating, and refining solutions.
- Strengthen the Revenue Technology Operating Model:
- Collaborate with Program Management to implement and scale accelerator programs.
- Ensure seamless integration of GTM Engineering work with the broader platform, coordinating with Salesforce administration, Revenue Systems (Q2C), and Revenue Tools.
- Contribute to roadmap planning, capacity assessment, and investment decisions within Revenue Technology.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in revenue operations, Salesforce development, or technical GTM roles, with proven ability to set technical standards.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including formal management or significant mentoring of engineers and analysts.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce, including declarative tools (Flow) and code (Apex, APIs), with a history of building sustainable solutions.
- Proficiency with automation and integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Workato, BlinkOps), scripting languages (Python, JavaScript), and modern AI agent/LLM tooling (including tools like Claude Code).
- Proven experience implementing automation or AI in real-world revenue workflows (e.g., routing, enrichment, Q2C, forecasting, outreach) with measurable impact.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover underlying issues and scope impactful work.
- A pragmatic approach to delivery, emphasizing iterative development, instrumentation, and retiring ineffective solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and business stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
