Job Description

Director, Enterprise Product Marketing

Instacart is transforming the grocery industry by providing an essential service that customers rely on for groceries and household goods, while also offering flexible earnings opportunities. We believe everyone should have access to the food they love and more time to enjoy it together.

Instacart operates on a "Flex First" model, allowing employees the flexibility to choose where they do their best work—whether from home, an office, or a coffee shop—while staying connected through regular in-person events.

About the Role

Instacart's enterprise business is at a pivotal moment, with increasing demand for our e-commerce, fulfillment, in-store, retail media, AI, and data solutions. We are seeking a Director of B2B Enterprise Product Marketing to lead our go-to-market strategy for this platform. This role is central to product, commercial, and marketing efforts, offering a direct impact on how Instacart shapes the future of grocery.

Key Responsibilities

In your first year, you will:

  • Develop and implement a unified go-to-market strategy for the enterprise platform, serving as the definitive playbook for Product, Business Development, and Customer Success teams.
  • Establish a differentiated market presence for Instacart's enterprise solutions through compelling thought leadership, multi-channel campaigns, and industry authority.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team, fostering strong integration with the commercial organization and ensuring clarity on priorities.
  • Drive measurable results in sales pipeline through awareness and lead generation campaigns across various channels including events, paid media, content, PR, webinars, and partnerships.
  • Develop foundational strategies for global market entry, supporting the expansion of Instacart Enterprise beyond existing markets.

Requirements

We are looking for a builder and storyteller who can translate complex enterprise technology into resonant messaging for grocery executives and execute campaigns. You should thrive in ambiguous environments, excel at cross-functional collaboration, and demonstrate a bias toward outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience in a SaaS company, with demonstrated ownership of product marketing across multiple product lines.
  • Proven people management experience, with a track record of growing and developing marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute comprehensive, multi-channel B2B campaigns that drive both awareness and qualified lead generation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences.
  • Experience developing effective positioning, messaging frameworks, and thought leadership strategies that translate into sales enablement materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
  • High proficiency with Google Slides and comfort with basic marketing analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience marketing to retailers or grocery audiences, understanding their unique business challenges and buying cycles.
  • Familiarity marketing to a range of company sizes, from large enterprises to SMBs.
  • Background in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
  • Technical proficiency enabling effective partnership with product and engineering teams.

What We Offer

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits. This role is remote.

For Canadian-based candidates, the base pay range for this position is $203,000—$214,000 CAD. Offers may vary based on factors such as candidate experience and skills. This role is eligible for new hire and annual equity grants.
