About the Role
Valiantys is seeking a Delivery Director for Germany & Switzerland to lead delivery strategy and operational performance across the territory. This executive role ensures client engagements meet business, quality, and financial objectives. You will oversee and support Delivery Managers, enforce delivery standards, and align staffing and capacity planning with business needs. As a key partner to Consulting, Practices, Sales, and Finance, you will drive continuous improvement, client satisfaction, and the evolution of delivery excellence at scale.
This role can be based in Switzerland or Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery Leadership:
- Collaborate with Practices and Consulting leadership to define staffing budgets, rolling forecasts, and pay planning aligned with business goals.
- Define strategic direction for delivery processes, ensuring compliance with the Valiantys Project Management Framework and internal best practices.
- Lead transformation initiatives by shaping scopes and ensuring engagement readiness and delivery standards in collaboration with the Head of Delivery Excellence.
- Delivery and Resource Management:
- Oversee client engagements by clearly defining scope, risks, responsibilities, and timelines to ensure smooth delivery and avoid disputes.
- Monitor project performance to meet margin and client satisfaction targets, while ensuring compliance with internal governance and delivery standards.
- Own staffing and resource allocation, securing effective handovers and enforcing consistent delivery practices across the team.
- Capacity Planning:
- Collaborate with Practices to forecast and manage skill demand across the consulting team.
- Allocate resources and adjust budgets as needed, exercising clear decision-making authority.
- Develop contingency plans and coordinate regional or external support to maintain high utilization during demand peaks.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Define and manage the staffing budget for business units, maintaining a rolling forecast aligned with evolving business needs.
- Track financial performance with Finance, analyze variances, and adjust strategies to meet targets.
- Review and approve client-facing commercial documents, and collaborate with EMEA Delivery leaders to ensure overall financial alignment.
- Team Management:
- Manage people, fostering a high-performance culture through clear communication, feedback, and goal-setting.
- Support team development, onboarding, and recruitment.
- Ensure personal and team certifications, including Atlassian certification/accreditation.
- Client Engagement:
- Act as an escalation point for client delivery issues in the region.
- Collaborate with Sales to secure deals and ensure delivery alignment.
- Drive improvements through analysis of client feedback (Client Net Score).
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify and implement improvements in delivery practices and processes.
- Contribute to new service offering development and innovation initiatives (AI).
- Stay current on industry trends and promote team learning.
Your Team and Partners
- You will report to the Head of Delivery EMEA.
- You will manage a team of Delivery Managers (direct reports).
- You will work closely with Project Managers (indirect reports, if applicable).
- You will collaborate regularly with:

- Other Delivery Directors (peers)
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in managing complex delivery teams and functions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Analytical and structured approach, driven by performance, quality, and client success.
- Awareness of AI in the enterprise and its potential to drive client value.
- Exposure to business development activities, combining a solid delivery mindset with a business-oriented approach.
- Confidence in engaging with clients to shape solutions and drive impact.
- Fluency in German and English. Additional languages are a plus.
Location and Work Model
- This role can be based anywhere in Switzerland or Germany.
- Requires regular travel to our Berlin, Vevey, and Berne offices.
- Flexible hybrid working model, combining remote and on-site work.
