Diabetic Sales Specialist - Remote (USA)

About the Role

This is a remote, permanent opportunity within the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are seeking a motivated individual to help people with diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Accurate glucose monitoring is essential for diabetes management, and we continuously strive to improve how patients and professionals measure, track, and analyze glucose levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas and objectives for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Products.
  • Collaborate effectively with various channels, including Managed Care, Retail, and Point of Care representatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external healthcare constituents (e.g., physicians, nurses, pharmacists, Certified Diabetes Educators).
  • Engage with customers in a friendly, respectful, and adaptive manner, prioritizing their needs and interests.
  • Stay current on internal and competitive products and positioning by utilizing various resources.
  • Professionally and accurately convey information about products and services.
  • Develop and implement effective short- and long-term sales plans based on business trends, including goals, action plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate information and ideas, answer questions, and actively listen to understand provider and patient needs.
  • Position products and services using appropriate resources and convincing logic, tailoring the sales approach to meet customer needs.
  • Utilize and distribute relevant resources.
  • Address disagreements and objections tactfully by exploring different perspectives.
  • Develop and implement territory, account, and call plans, tracking progress and redirecting efforts as necessary.
  • Complete all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely fashion, including documenting daily activity in the call reporting/tracking system.
  • Maintain accountability for all product samples in accordance with Division guidelines.
  • Work within established quality guidelines for compliance and implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Adhere to applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of previous sales experience with a commendable track record, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, high energy, integrity, and ambition to succeed.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to perform significant work activities including continuous standing and walking for prolonged periods, and driving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Diabetes clinical knowledge and experience calling on Endocrinologists.

Base Pay Range: $64,000.00 - $128,000.00 (Note: This range may vary by specific location. A second, slightly higher range of $68,000.00 - $136,000.00 was also indicated in the original description.)
