About the Role
As an Event Setup Specialist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating incoming documents and data from medical providers. You will identify insurance and employer leads, update patient files in our AcciClaim system, and determine the appropriate next steps based on available information and contractual or state requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming data to identify important leads and information for event processing.
- Enter new, relevant information into patient records.
- Synthesize available information to determine necessary additional data and appropriate next steps.
- Process data in various formats, including paper, fax, and electronic.
- Consistently meet production standards and quality assurance requirements.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information encountered.
Requirements
- Typing speed of 35 words per minute with minimal errors.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with internal customers.
- Highly organized with a systematic approach to tasks.
- Ability to enter and process large amounts of information quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of healthcare departments and their information needs.
- Ability to adapt workflow based on client contractual and state requirements.
- Working knowledge of auto and health payers, and patient accounting hierarchy.
- Ability to understand both the big picture and specific details.
- Proficiency with computer functions, including the internet and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable using applicable technologies such as printers, scanners, and mail sorters.
- Must reside in the United States within one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
