About the Role:
Vercel is seeking a Senior Manager of Compensation to partner directly with our Go-To-Market (GTM) and General & Administrative (G&A) teams. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with business leaders, People Business Partners, and Recruiting to ensure our compensation strategies attract top talent, reward performance, and align with our operational model. You will also partner with the Head of Total Rewards on executive compensation. Your responsibilities will extend beyond advising to actively driving compensation decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leaders across GTM and G&A to guide compensation decisions and manage tradeoffs.
- Transform compensation data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions, rather than just generating reports.
- Utilize multiple data sources to build and maintain competitive salary bands, bonus targets, and equity ranges.
- Clearly and simply educate managers and employees on Vercel's compensation philosophy and programs.
- Contribute to executive compensation strategy, including benchmarking and equity program design.

- You excel at translating market data into a compensation framework that uniquely fits the company.
- You are comfortable challenging conventional approaches when they don't align with business needs.
- You can articulate complex compensation concepts in clear, understandable language.
- You possess a strong understanding of executive compensation within both private and public company contexts.
- You have experience in a fast-growing tech company, ideally with exposure to international employees.
