About the Role
OPKO Health, Inc. is expanding its pharmaceutical division with a focus on critical health needs. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Renal Sales Specialist to promote our first-in-class product, Rayaldee®, which treats stage 3 or 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD) with secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) and Vitamin D insufficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, values innovation, and wants to be the "CEO" of their sales territory. You will target Nephrology and Endocrinology audiences in both community and academic settings, playing a key role in changing the treatment paradigm in the nephrology space.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Rayaldee® to Nephrology and Endocrinology healthcare professionals.
- Manage and grow a dedicated sales territory, demonstrating ownership and strategic planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and key opinion leaders.
- Effectively communicate product information, disease state knowledge, and competitive landscape.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage territory activities and track progress.
- Collaborate with specialty pharmacies to ensure product pull-through.
- Foster open dialogue and provide outstanding customer service.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of proven pharmaceutical specialty physician sales experience.
- Experience in retail pharmaceutical sales (not buy and bill).
- Demonstrated success working with specialty pharmacies.
- Specialty pharmaceutical experience in Nephrology and/or Endocrinology is preferred.
- Experience in start-up pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical companies is preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
- Strong organizational, motivational, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to cover the assigned territory.
- Demonstrated ability to learn OPKO products and become a subject matter expert (SME) on the disease state, product, and competitors.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, execute with excellence, and achieve sales results.
- Must be able to foster an open dialogue and demonstrate outstanding and proven customer service.
