Manager, Applications – ADF/ETL/AI (Remote)

Molina Healthcare is seeking a senior, remote-based Manager, Applications to lead a high-impact team focused on ETL development, reporting support, and technical enablement within key TCIM workstreams. This is a permanent, full-time people leadership role, overseeing a team of 10 direct reports with a diverse blend of business and technical expertise.

About the Role

This team is responsible for developing ETL packages and reporting templates, providing crucial technical guidance and support to the broader organization, and actively contributing to the adoption of AI and related technologies. The successful candidate will lead initiatives supporting data pipelines and reporting for healthcare claims validation, pricing, and monitoring processes. Current projects include Fee Schedule automation, migration from SSIS to Azure Data Factory (ADF), MRDT reference data management, and MOOP/AVR support.

We are looking for a hands-on, player-coach leader who can effectively guide technical work while simultaneously strengthening team execution, delivery processes, stakeholder alignment, and operational rigor. This role requires an individual adept at translating business needs into effective technical solutions and empowering a blended team to succeed in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for ETL packages, reporting, and technical support for TCIM-related workstreams.
• Provide leadership across core areas including Fee Schedule processing, SSIS-to-ADF migration, MRDT data flows, and MOOP/AVR support.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to convert requirements into practical, reliable technical solutions that support operational and business needs.
• Support platform modernization efforts, including migration from SSIS to Azure Data Factory (ADF), and drive execution planning across active workstreams.
• Advance the team’s use of AI technologies and AI adoption in support of automation and continuous improvement efforts.
• Strengthen team operating rhythm, processes, prioritization, and delivery discipline across multiple active workstreams and backlog demands.
• Support delivery quality through coordination across engineering, QA, product ownership, scrum leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Identify and address resource constraints, bottlenecks, and delivery risks that affect timelines, quality, or execution.
• Guide teams on application architecture, operational reliability, configuration-driven processing, and documentation expectations.
• Foster stakeholder confidence through strong communication, clear prioritization, and disciplined execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of Application Development Experience and Management.
• A hands-on technical leader comfortable guiding work involving Azure Data Factory (ADF), ETL pipelines, AI-enabled solutions, Visual Studio/development tooling, SQL, and reporting automation.
• A strong people and process leader capable of building team clarity, improving execution, and bringing structure to delivery.
• Ability to balance business awareness with technical depth and translate business priorities into successful technical solutions.
• Experience operating effectively in an environment with competing priorities, active modernization work, QA/UAT constraints, and evolving AI direction.
• Comfortable leading in a player-coach model, supporting the team strategically while also being technically credible to advise on architecture, delivery, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7-9 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Technologies, Mobility, and ITIL frameworks.
