Sales Automation Specialist

About the Role

This role serves as the crucial coordination layer between marketing-generated demand and the sales team. You will own the operational flow of inbound marketing-sourced leads, ensuring they are routed accurately, meetings are scheduled and completed, and handoffs between teams are seamless. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at internal communication, and is passionate about optimizing processes. You will work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to ensure inbound opportunities move through the funnel with speed, clarity, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound lead flow and ensure accurate routing to Account Executives based on territory, segment, and ownership rules.
  • Partner with Account Executives to confirm prompt scheduling and completion of meetings.
  • Act as the liaison between marketing-sourced pipeline and the sales organization, preventing dropped tasks.
  • Track key operational metrics such as speed-to-lead, meeting progression, and routing accuracy.
  • Identify and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve breakdowns, bottlenecks, and execution inconsistencies.
  • Establish and maintain a feedback loop with marketing and operations regarding lead quality, routing issues, meeting outcomes, and conversion trends.
  • Contribute to improving inbound workflows, documentation, and operating discipline for increased speed, cleanliness, and scalability.
  • Communicate proactively with cross-functional stakeholders regarding necessary actions, follow-ups, or process issues.
  • Utilize AI-powered go-to-market tools to support lead prioritization, outreach automation, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales support, sales coordination, business development support, marketing operations support, or similar go-to-market role.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on internal stakeholder management.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and drive work forward without direct authority.
  • Proficiency with CRM and go-to-market systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through, with the ability to identify and resolve gaps.
  • Analytical mindset to identify trends, process breakdowns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and prioritizing multiple inputs.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new tools and systems rapidly.
  • Experience using or willingness to learn AI-powered go-to-market tools for lead prioritization, outreach automation, and workflow efficiency (e.g., Salesloft, Qualified, or similar platforms).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting an inbound sales motion or marketing-to-sales handoff process.
  • Familiarity with lead routing logic, territory assignment, meeting coordination, or funnel management.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing, SDR, sales, or RevOps teams in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Understanding of speed-to-lead, conversion metrics, and inbound funnel reporting.
  • Experience in identifying and improving operational workflows or process documentation.
  • Proficiency with tools like Slack, CRM reporting, and spreadsheets.
  • Prior experience in a highly cross-functional coordination role emphasizing strong internal communication.
