About the Role
School District No. 27 is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Multi Grade Teacher for a full-time, permanent position commencing September 1st, 2026. This unique, geographically remote opportunity is ideal for an educator passionate about multi-grade teaching in a primary setting (Kindergarten to Grade 3).
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (this position is not eligible for LMIA sponsorship).
- Training and experience in multi-grade teaching at the primary level, including kindergarten.
- Ability to teach a wide range of learners.
- Experience working in geographically remote locations, or relevant life experience living in such areas.
- Valid BC Teaching Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch.
- Interest in remote teaching.
- Ability to work well with First Nations communities.
- Comfort with basic amenities.
- Adequate transportation suitable for multi-surface highways and roads.
- A desire to be surrounded by nature.
What We Offer
- Salary: $63,347.00 to $116,190.00 per annum, paid over 10 months. Salary is determined based on verification of BC TQS and previous years of service.
- Schedule: A 4.5-day work week with extended days and Friday afternoons off.
- Allowances: Rural Recruitment and Retention Allowance and Rural Travel are paid monthly.
- Accommodation: Subsidized teacherages (mobile homes) are available and can be furnished, semi-furnished, or empty.
- Mentorship: A structured mentorship program is available for new teachers (0-2 years of experience), with options for experienced teachers based on the collective agreement.
- Professional Development: Opportunities for professional development beyond the collective agreement, including hands-on coaching from educational leaders.
- Union Support: Strong collective agreement language regarding Professional Development and financial support from the Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers' Association.
- Relocation: A relocation allowance may be offered.
