About the Role
Remote is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Fintech area, focusing on Fraud and Compliance. This is a critical role responsible for developing and implementing strategies and systems that protect Remote and its customers from fraud, credit risk, and compliance risks. You will drive the evolution of our risk and compliance capabilities towards proactive, automated systems that scale efficiently. This is a high-autonomy, high-stakes position reporting to the Director of Product.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Credit Risk Assessment and Reserve Management: Drive the strategy for evaluating, scoring, and mitigating credit risk, evolving models and tooling for automation.
- Fraud Detection and Prevention: Own fraud controls, freeze mechanisms, and dispute workflows, building proactive strategies to detect and prevent fraud.
- Compliance Automation: Oversee end-to-end onboarding compliance, including KYB verification, AML screening, and background checks, driving automation while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Build Scalable Systems: Develop platform-oriented solutions that operations teams can configure and extend, reducing engineering bottlenecks.
- Collections and Enforcement: Partner with Collections and Treasury on risk reserves, payment blocks, and enforcement actions, owning relevant user interfaces.
- Iterative Delivery: Lead a product team to deliver high throughput and ROI, advancing key KPIs related to automation, false-positive reduction, and risk accuracy.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Treasury, and Legal teams, translating complex risk trade-offs into clear product decisions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code: Ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes.
- AI Fluency: A strong understanding of how AI and automation can transform risk operations.
- Product Management Experience: Proven track record as a seasoned Product Manager, ideally with experience in platform, API, or products for operational teams.
- Platform Mindset: Experience building extensible and scalable systems.
- Strong UX Sensibilities: A focus on creating intuitive administrative and customer-facing experiences.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent skills in partnering with cross-functional teams and leading async workflows.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Comfort with data querying and visualization tools to inform prioritization.
- Fast Learner: A growth mindset, eager to learn and adapt quickly.
- Judgment: Ability to make sound strategic and tactical decisions.
- Language: Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
