Humana is seeking skilled Medicare Field Sales Agents to join our dedicated team in Huntsville, AL. About the Role
This is a field-based, permanent position where you will be an integral part of a collaborative team of 8–12 Medicare Sales Agents. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Manager and Regional Director, focusing on delivering Humana's strategy to meet and exceed sales goals. You will engage with customers through a mix of in-person, virtual, and phone interactions, with a significant emphasis on face-to-face visits in prospective members’ homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate and Build Trust: Inform individuals about Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans, as well as Life, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage.
- Create Connections: Foster meaningful, face-to-face relationships through grassroots marketing, community events, and in-home visits to provide a personalized experience.
- Drive Growth: Generate self-sourced sales, achieve performance targets, and expand Humana's market presence by becoming a trusted community resource.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in community events, service organizations, and volunteer work to build relationships and increase brand awareness.
Requirements
- Active Health Insurance License, or the ability to obtain one.
- Must reside within the designated local territory to effectively serve the community.
- Comfortable with daily face-to-face interactions, including in prospective members’ homes.
- Valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance meeting at least 25/25/10 coverage limits (or higher, based on state requirements).
- Must be available for mandatory training during the first five weeks of employment.
- Flexibility to schedule appointments and attend events during evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance License.
- Prior experience selling Medicare products.
- Experience in public speaking or delivering presentations to groups.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluent speaking, reading, and writing abilities in both languages.
