About the Team
The Global Sales Vendors team drives Stripe's revenue growth and expands access to our financial infrastructure by partnering with third-party external sales organizations. We design and scale sales motions, processes, and performance frameworks to ensure our vendor salesforce delivers consistent results and exceptional customer experiences. We operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, collaborating with Vendor Operations Managers, Sales Development leaders, and Growth Marketing teams to uphold Stripe's standards across all customer interactions.
About the Role
As a Sales Excellence Manager, you will lead the transformation of our third-party vendor sales teams' go-to-market strategies. You will redesign sales motions from the ground up, integrating agentic AI, automation, and LLM agents to create a next-generation external salesforce. Your focus will be on enabling vendor teams to achieve consistent results and deliver outstanding customer experiences through modern, AI-powered processes. You will operate strategically and operationally, designing scalable sales motions, building performance frameworks for leadership visibility, and partnering with internal stakeholders to scale successful approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation of vendor sales motions to incorporate agentic AI, leveraging automation and LLM agents to enhance seller productivity and customer engagement.
- Design, document, and optimize scalable sales motions for third-party vendor teams, ensuring alignment with company go-to-market strategy, standards, and customer experience principles.
- Own program- and regional-level performance management, establishing a consistent rhythm of business including pipeline reviews, forecast cadences, and executive reporting frameworks.
- Partner with Vendor Operations Managers and senior sales leadership to identify cross-site trends, coach vendor leaders, and translate performance data into clear, executive-ready narratives and recommendations.
- Act as a liaison between internal sales leaders and vendor operations, delivering regular readouts, escalating risks, and aligning goals and priorities across the organization.
- Drive adoption and change management for new sales motions and performance processes, piloting new approaches and scaling proven solutions.
- Partner with Sales Enablement to define future vendor team requirements, share best practices, and sustain high-performance behaviors.
Requirements
- Experience in sales motion design and scalable process development for large or distributed sales teams.
- Background in sales management or a sales excellence lead role, with a proven track record of coaching teams and driving consistent performance.
- 10+ years of experience in sales strategy, sales operations, or vendor management, with demonstrated success in a third-party or outsourced sales environment.
- Ability to translate complex performance data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or implementing agentic AI-powered sales motions, including the use of LLM agents or automation.
- Background in a high-growth technology or fintech environment.
- Familiarity with customer experience metrics such as CSAT and quality assurance scoring.
What We Offer
- Compensation: Annual US base salary range of $192,700 - $289,100 (On Target Earnings for sales roles, including commissions/bonuses). Salary range may encompass multiple career levels and will be finalized based on experience, qualifications, and location. International applicants can inquire about salary ranges for their location.
