About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Program Pharmacist to join our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, data scientists, and engineers. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of Arine’s software platform, focusing on optimizing patient outcomes for our clients. You will be instrumental in building a product that empowers clinicians to provide expert medication therapy consultations. This is a permanent, remote position based in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Implementation, Client Success, and Data Analyst teams to enhance Arine’s software platform.
- Supervise and maintain the clinical quality of product content.
- Assist in clinical program development.
- Serve as a platform expert and liaison for patients and external providers regarding product enhancements.
- Stay current with new developments in the pharmaceutical field, including emerging patterns, treatment guidelines, and best practices.
- Foster cooperative working relationships with clients and colleagues through effective communication and professional conduct.
- Review and evaluate clinical guidelines.
- Write clear and compelling recommendations for various stakeholders.
- Perform quality assurance on all customer deliverables.
- Provide clinical expertise during implementation, training, and program development.
- Respond to questions from providers, internal/external users, Client Success, and leadership as the platform subject matter expert.
- Triage bugs for urgency and priority.
- Improve clinical algorithms, workflows, and performance metrics based on new quality measures and clinical guidelines.
- Communicate effectively, both written and orally, to interpret and resolve clinical issues or collaborate on new solutions with various stakeholders.
- Develop intervention strategies to optimize medication utilization and achieve quality measures.
- Conduct user acceptance testing of clinical outputs.
- Assist in preparing customer demonstrations and testing new clinical content within the Arine Platform.
- Comply with all company policies and state and federal rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college/university.
- Licensed by a Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
- Completion of a PGY-1 residency or equivalent experience.
- Ability to review and assess the appropriateness of medications considering age and disease-state specific factors.
- Knowledge of chronic disease states (e.g., diabetes, heart failure, COPD, asthma, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, HIV, ESRD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, thought disorders).
- Understanding of how patient factors (age, sex, concomitant disease states, concurrent drug therapy, foods, diagnostic procedures) influence drug activity and disposition.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements relevant to functional responsibilities.
- Ability to translate clinical guidelines and technical specifications into program design.
- Knowledge of prescription and non-prescription drugs, including indications, efficacy, dosage, mechanisms of action, contraindications, and potential side effects.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Proven ability to work within technical environments and manage structured data using SQL, Excel, or logic-based tools.
- Ability to interpret pseudocode and apply systematic logical reasoning to complex technical workflows.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods and perform keyboarding tasks.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to exercise judgment and make informed decisions independently.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, foster positive working relationships, and build consensus.
- Must live in and be eligible to work in the United States.
