Customer Education Program Manager
Ashby · USA
Job Description
Customer Education Program Manager (Remote, USA)
Ashby is seeking a passionate and hands-on Customer Education Program Manager to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and own customer-facing education initiatives for our innovative talent acquisition software. If you have a deep understanding of Ashby and a knack for translating complex product workflows into clear, practical learning experiences, we encourage you to apply.
About the Role
Founded in 2025, Ashby's Customer Education function is built on the belief that every customer deserves personalized, practical, and genuinely useful content. Our Ashby Academy, webinar program, and playbook library are testaments to this commitment. As our next Customer Education Program Manager, you will be instrumental in expanding the depth and formats of our educational offerings.
This is a hands-on role where you will own customer-facing education work from concept to publication. You will translate your deep understanding of Ashby into scalable content, partnering closely with Customer Success, Product, PMM, and Recruiting Operations Consulting to ensure our materials are grounded in real-world customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own net-new customer education initiatives, including courses, playbooks, recordings, and other learning assets, from concept through publication.
- Define the goals, target audience, and format for each learning asset, gathering SME input, designing the approach, and building the content.
- Refresh and improve existing Ashby Academy content to ensure it remains aligned with current product functionality.
- Translate complex Ashby workflows into clear, practical, and outcome-oriented educational materials that explain not just what to do, but why it matters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with CS, Product, PMM, and RecOps Consultants to identify high-value education opportunities and ensure timely delivery of assets.
- Contribute to the development of systems, standards, and workflows that enable Customer Education to scale while maintaining high-quality learning experiences.
- Explore and implement adjacent learning formats, such as lighter-weight tutorials and in-app guidance, to provide just-in-time learning moments.
Typical Workload: You will manage 2-3 new courses or major playbooks per quarter, alongside ongoing content refreshes and maintenance. The majority of your time will be dedicated to hands-on content creation, including writing, recording, and designing learning flows.
Requirements
- Ashby Fluency: A deep, hands-on understanding of Ashby's workflows, common user challenges, and effective usage is essential. This role requires you to teach Ashby from day one.
- Teaching Experience: Proven ability to teach complex subjects, whether through live instruction, writing, or other methods, and a knack for creating scalable learning solutions.
- Strong Writing Skills: Ability to articulate complex information clearly, concisely, and usefully in written form.
- Content Creation: Experience in creating educational content, including courses, playbooks, or similar materials.
- Voiceover Recording: Comfort and ability to record voiceovers for customer-facing content.
- End-to-End Ownership: Capability to take projects from initial problem framing through to launch with autonomy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Skill in working effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather necessary input.
- Judgment and Scoping: Ability to make informed decisions about the scope and depth of educational assets.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
Traditional customer education experience is not a prerequisite. What matters most is your practical experience with Ashby and your ability to translate that knowledge into effective coaching and content.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to do high-quality work without resorting to quick hacks.
- Work with a product that customers are genuinely excited about.
- 10-year exercise window for stock options.
- Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) with a recommended four weeks per year.
- Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US.
- A $100/month education budget, with larger development opportunities available upon manager approval.
- Extended health benefits for you and your dependents (subject to availability with our Employer of Record).
