BCD Travel is seeking a Senior Travel Consultant specializing in ERM (Energy, Resources, and Marine) travel to join our global team. This is a permanent, full-time, remote position open to candidates in LATAM, specifically Mexico.
About the Role
As a Senior Travel Consultant, ERM, you will be the primary point of contact for our business customers, managing incoming travel requests via phone, email, and other channels. You will provide expert travel consultation, including detailed travel arrangements and upselling of related products. This role requires an independent worker with a deep understanding of the travel industry, who can proactively assist customers and colleagues. You will also contribute to operational improvements and may coach other travel consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently handle customer travel requests through various communication channels.
- Provide active travel consultation to business clients, including travel details and product upselling.
- Utilize BCD Travel tools and systems effectively to manage requests.
- Anticipate and address potential customer challenges.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries with undivided attention.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and customer relationships.
- Perform quality management, including error management and project assistance.
- Meet individual and team performance goals.
- Act as a first point of contact for team members, providing guidance on policies and procedures.
- Potentially participate in project teams and coach other travel consultants.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ERM, marine, offshore, or crew travel environments.
- Hands-on expertise in managing crew movements, rotations, and disruption handling.
- Advanced skills with GDS Amadeus.
- Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, including policies, procedures, and processes.
- Demonstrated excellent professional customer service and problem-resolution skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurately under pressure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 service environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a global, multi-regional operations setup.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
