Payroll Coordinator (Remote)

Company: Honey Bucket (Northwest Cascade) Location: Remote (Texas or Georgia) Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: $18 - $20 per hour (Depending on Experience) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Join Northwest Cascade, Home of Honey Bucket, an employee-owned company, as a remote Payroll Coordinator. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with at least one year of payroll experience to support our growing operations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes while providing excellent service to our employees and managers.

About the Role

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. You will handle sensitive employee information in a fast-paced environment, requiring a high degree of accuracy and organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and audit employee payroll and HR data using Paylocity.
  • Ensure accurate completion of new hire onboarding and employee records.
  • Enter and review changes to employee status, wages, and deductions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, billings, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Respond to Verifications of Employment (VOEs).
  • Support benefits administration and employee data maintenance.
  • Run and distribute recurring payroll reports.
  • Address employee and manager inquiries related to payroll.
  • Assist with payroll compliance and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the Payroll Team.
  • Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of payroll experience.
  • Experience with a payroll or HRIS system; Paylocity experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support various payroll and administrative tasks.
  • A curious and proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
