About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the global employment space as a Global Payroll Country Lead, joining our Implementation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for the specified country/region.
- Attend Sales calls as the Country Payroll Lead.
- Participate in Sales hand-over, client hand-over, and client kick-off calls.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of global payroll implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage the payroll process from inception through parallel runs and the first month of 'Live' payroll before handing over to Payroll Operations.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all decisions made during the implementation process and provide visibility to Payroll Operations, including Standard Operating Procedures for 'Business As Usual' tasks.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the implementation process, including internal teams and customers.
- Develop and implement standardized payroll processes, project plans, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Provide ongoing support during and after implementation to resolve issues and challenges.
- Support the wider implementation team, including Payroll Generalists and the Operations team.
- Focus on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Implement and improve processes.
- Mentor, support, and lead Payroll Generalists working alongside you.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve the platform, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment. Ensure all changes are documented.
Requirements
- Extensive payroll experience in a client payroll environment.
- Expert legislative knowledge in the UK.
- Proven payroll implementation experience.
- Strong communication skills for explaining payroll processes and issues to customers and other stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of local payroll tools and software, including SAP and Excel/Google Sheets.
- An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- Experience in accounting/reconciliations.
- A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements for efficiency and speed.
- Understanding of and ability to work effectively asynchronously.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience working remotely is considered a plus.

- Salary: £62,050—£69,800 GBP per year.
