About the Role
The Customer Trainer will be responsible for delivering da Vinci® System technology training and facilitating surgeon-led training for surgeons, first assistants, and operating room staff across various surgical specialties. This role involves actively contributing to the continuous improvement of training programs and supporting customer training, engineering, and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct da Vinci® Surgical System training programs at designated training centers and remote locations.
- Lead and support specialized training programs and society events.
- Provide support for surgeon educators and course participants.
- Conduct surveys to gather data and measure program effectiveness.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal projects.
- Contribute to new product development and training material/protocol development.
- Participate in training research initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Training team to improve existing training programs.
- Train the sales force on in-service delivery and system technology skills development for new and established products.
- Provide occasional support of the da Vinci® System in a hospital operating room.
- Support da Vinci® Surgical System troubleshooting and maintenance at the training center.
- Manage training center logistics, inventory, and training calendars.
- Maintain all capital equipment, including the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and accessories.
- Support positive relationships between external training center personnel and Intuitive management.
- Contribute to the organization’s quarterly goal achievements.
- Develop competency in da Vinci® System Technology, applications, advanced technology, and OR Efficiency Training Pathway processes.
- Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany, as per legal requirements, providing guidance on the proper handling of Intuitive medical devices.
- Maintain competency and currency on technology training protocols, including onboarding and annual checks.
- Utilize effective training and coaching techniques and methodologies.
- Travel will be required.
Requirements
- Professional training experience is preferred.
- Clinical and/or operating room experience is preferred.
- High capacity for learning and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to operate independently.
- Professional work ethic and a solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles is preferred.
